Our client, operating a bustling e-commerce store on Shopify, faced significant challenges in managing inventory across multiple warehouse locations. They required a robust solution to connect their product inventories, display real-time stock levels, and facilitate location-based shipping for customers. Additionally, they needed a system to automatically update stock levels after orders were placed, ensuring accurate inventory tracking.
Solution
We developed a custom Shopify app integrated with SOS Inventory APIs to address these needs. The app was designed with the following key features:
- Real-Time Inventory Display: Integrated SOS Inventory APIs to pull and display real-time stock levels for products, providing accurate inventory information to customers.
- Warehouse Location Selection: Enabled customers to select shipping locations based on the availability of stock at different warehouse locations.
- Two-Way Stock Integration: Implemented a robust two-way integration that not only fetched inventory data from SOS Inventory but also updated stock levels back in SOS Inventory after successful order placement.
- Order Management: Ensured seamless communication between Shopify and SOS Inventory, automatically updating stock and other relevant fields post-order placement.
